Christian Affairs Office Clears Gov. Bala Mohammed of Banditry Allegations

The Office of the Senior Special Assistant to the Executive Governor of Bauchi State on Christian Religious Affairs has dismissed as false and malicious allegations linking Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed to the sponsorship of banditry or any form of insecurity.
In an official communiqué issued on Saturday, the office described the claims as baseless, unfounded, and deliberately misleading, noting that they are aimed at undermining public confidence in lawful authority and constituted leadership in the state.
The statement categorically stressed that at no time and under no circumstance has Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, throughout his tenure as Executive Governor of Bauchi State, sponsored, supported, encouraged, or condoned banditry, insecurity, or criminal activities of any kind.
According to the communiqué, the allegations do not reflect the reality on ground, as the Governor has consistently demonstrated decisive, lawful, and proactive leadership in addressing security and governance challenges across the state.
It added that the Bala Mohammed administration remains firmly committed to the protection of lives and property, the maintenance of law and order, and the promotion of peace, unity, and stability in Bauchi State.
The office further noted that it is a matter of verifiable public record that the Governor governs with equity, fairness, and inclusiveness, ensuring equal treatment for Christians, indigenous communities, non-indigenous residents, and all ethnic and religious groups without discrimination.
As the Senior Special Assistant on Christian Religious Affairs, the office disclosed that it maintains documented engagements and verifiable evidence of the Governor’s sustained interventions and tangible achievements within the Christian community, underscoring his commitment to inclusive governance and religious harmony.
The office therefore condemned the allegations in the strongest terms and reaffirmed its total and unwavering support for Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, describing his administration as progressive, just, and firmly anchored on unity, security, and responsible governance.
