Gov Bala Mohammed Appoints Alhaji Aliyu Yakubu As First Emir Of Lame Emirate
Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed of Bauchi State has officially presented an appointment letter to Alhaji Aliyu Yakubu Lame, confirming him as the first Second Class Emir of Lame in Toro Local Government Area of the state.
Presenting the letter on behalf of the Governor, the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Aminu Hammayo, charged the newly appointed Emir to be law-abiding and uphold the dignity of the traditional institution.
He expressed optimism that the elevation of Lame from a District Headship to a Second Class Emirate would strengthen unity, promote peace, and enhance socio-economic development within the area.
In his acceptance speech, the new Emir of Lame, Alhaji Aliyu Yakubu, thanked Governor Bala Mohammed for creating the Lame Emirate Council and for the confidence reposed in him.

He noted that the creation of the new Emirate would improve administrative efficiency, promote agricultural activities, and increase access to government programmes in the region.
Alhaji Yakubu pledged to work closely with the government, traditional rulers, and neighbouring communities to ensure effective traditional administration and grassroots development.
In their goodwill messages, the Kan-giwan Wunti, Alhaji Abdul Dan’azumi; the Dan’masanin Fagam, Alhaji Mujahid
Muhammad; and the Makaman Wunti, Alhaji Aliyu Jibrin Abdullahi, commended Governor Bala Mohammed for recognising the importance of the Lame community in governance.
They described the creation of the new Emirate as part of the administration’s broader reforms to strengthen traditional institutions and improve security coordination across Toro Local Government Area and Bauchi State at large.

They also pledged the continued support and loyalty of the Lame people to the state government in its efforts to promote peace and development.
