The Governor of Bauchi State, Senator Bala Mohammed, has called on residents to remain vigilant and actively support security agencies in sustaining peace across the state.

In his Sallah message, the governor expressed gratitude to Almighty Allah for the relative peace enjoyed in Bauchi, despite isolated security challenges recorded in a few local government areas.

He emphasized the need for collective responsibility in tackling insecurity, urging citizens to see themselves as partners in progress by providing timely and useful information to security operatives.

According to the governor, individuals who aid criminal elements within communities pose a greater threat, stressing the importance of exposing informants and collaborators to curb criminal activities.

“We must all be vigilant. All of us should act as security agents by providing useful information and exposing those who aid criminal activities within our communities,” the governor said.

Governor Bala Mohammed commended the efforts of security agencies, including the police and the military, for their dedication to protecting lives and property, assuring that his administration will continue to strengthen collaboration with them.

He further highlighted Bauchi State’s reputation as a peaceful and hospitable environment, attracting people from across the country, while cautioning against accommodating individuals with questionable intentions.

Addressing political speculations, the governor dismissed rumors of defecting to another party, reaffirming his loyalty and commitment to his mandate. “I am not going anywhere. I remain committed to my party and to the people of Bauchi State,” he stated, assuring that his administration will continue to deliver on its promises.
