Bauchi Govt Appeals for Calm as President Tinubu Visits State for Condolence

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will visit the Bauchi state state Today Saturday 20th December 2025 for a condolence visit following the death of renowned Islamic scholar, Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi.

This was confirmed In a press release issued by Special Adviser Media to Bauchi state Governor Comrade Muktar Gidado, residents were urged to remain peaceful and law-abiding throughout the President’s visit, while cooperating fully with security agencies deployed to ensure a smooth and hitch-free engagement.

The government disclosed that some major roads leading to the late Sheikh’s mosque and other key locations will be temporarily closed or diverted between 1:00 pm and 6:00 pm for security and traffic control purposes.

Members of the public were advised to plan their movements ahead of time, obey traffic directives, and avoid restricted areas during the period of the presidential visit.

The Bauchi State Government expressed regret over any inconvenience the measures may cause, while reaffirming its commitment to maintaining peace and honoring the enduring legacy of Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi.
