Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, has urged politicians across the country to emulate the exemplary leadership qualities of Nigeria’s late Prime Minister, Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa.
The Governor made the call during a community engagement and interactive session with members of the Bauchi business community ahead of the forthcoming Bauchi Investment Summit.
Governor Bala Mohammed described the late Tafawa Balewa as a selfless and humble leader who served the nation with sincerity and dignity.
He said the late Prime Minister remains one of Nigeria’s most respected leaders whose legacy continues to inspire generations long after his passing.
The Governor recalled that throughout Tafawa Balewa’s leadership, he was never subjected to public insults or negative criticism due to his character and integrity.
According to him, Tafawa Balewa lived a modest life, left no personal wealth behind, and led by example, qualities he believes modern-day politicians should imbibe.
Governor Bala noted that the forthcoming Bauchi Investment Summit is not only about attracting investors but also about promoting values of good leadership, honesty, and accountability which the late Prime Minister represented.
He emphasized that leaders who prioritize service over personal gain will always be remembered and respected by the people.
