Governor Bala Mohammed Appreciates Nation’s Support, as Bala Wunti Seeks Immortalization of Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi

Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, has expressed profound appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, state governors and eminent Nigerians for standing with Bauchi State during the period of mourning over the death of the renowned Islamic scholar, Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi.
The Governor said the solidarity demonstrated by leaders and citizens from across the country was a reflection of the national respect and love for the late Sheikh, whom he described as a unifying figure and a symbol of Islamic scholarship in Nigeria.
Governor Bala Mohammed added that the late Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi lived a life dedicated to peace, knowledge and spiritual upliftment, noting that Bauchi State and the Muslim Ummah have lost a guiding light.
Meanwhile, philanthropist and former Group General Manager of NAPIMS, Dr. Bala Maijama’a Wunti, has appealed to the state government to immortalize the late cleric in recognition of his contributions to the growth of Islam and the moral development of society.
Dr. Wunti made the appeal during the ongoing three-day special prayer session for the late Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi, describing him as a national treasure whose legacy must be preserved for future generations.
Governor Bala Mohammed assured that the state government will continue to honour the memory of Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi by supporting religious institutions and promoting programs that strengthen peace and scholarship.
Prayers were later offered for the repose of the late scholar’s soul, while the faithful were urged to continue upholding his teachings and values for the benefit of the society.
