Bauchi Moves to Boost Economy, Engages First Bank for Financial Management

The Governor of Bauchi State, Senator Bala Mohammed, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to strengthening the state’s economy through strategic partnerships with financial institutions, as he received the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of First Bank of Nigeria, Olusegun Alebiosu, on a courtesy visit.

 

Governor Bala Mohammed expressed appreciation for the visit, noting that collaboration with reputable financial institutions remains key to driving sustainable development and improving the economic fortunes of the state.

 

He announced that First Bank would henceforth manage the state’s accounts, describing the move as part of efforts to ensure transparency, efficiency, and improved financial management in government operations.

 

The Governor also commended the bank’s economic policies and track record, pledging continuous partnership in areas that would promote investment, job creation, and economic growth across Bauchi State.

 

Earlier, the Managing Director of First Bank, Mr. Olusegun Alebiosu, praised the economic policies of the Bala Mohammed administration, stating that Bauchi State is on a steady path of growth and development.

 

He assured that the bank is ready to partner with the state government to enhance economic activities, adding that such collaboration would help improve the state’s Gross Domestic Product and overall prosperity.
