Captain Bala Jibrin Warns APC Against Imposing Barr. M. A. Abubakar on Bauchi Electorates
By Isiyaka Ismail Wunti
A former APC gubernatorial aspirant of All Progressives Congress APC in Bauchi State Captain Bala Jibrin has urged electorates to reject Barr. M. A. Abubakar’s candidacy citing past mismanagement and political imposition risks.
Captain Bala Jibrin who made the call while addressing journalists at the state press centre, warned party leaders, including form Governor Isa Yuguda and Prof. Muhammad Ali Pate, against endorsing M.A Abubakar, describing his 2015-2019 tenure as incompetent, and harmful to Bauchi citizens’ welfare.
The former aspirant highlighted M.A Abubakar’s alleged refusal to employ thirty eight foreign-trained doctors, valued at three point fourty two million dollars, causing loss of critical healthcare services for women across twenty local government areas of the state.
Captain Bala Jibrin recounted a case of a female doctor denied graduation due to an unpaid eight thousand dollars fee, later resolved by Borno State Governor Babagana Zulum, the development that exposed M.A Abubakar’s lack of empathy and responsibility.
He condemned the former Governor’s alleged mismanagement of public resources, unfinished road projects, and failure to support elders, urging citizens and party leaders to prevent a repeat of past governance failures.
Captain Jibrin therefore, appealed directly to Malam Isa Yuguda and Prof. Pate to prioritize Bauchi’s welfare, warning that backing M.A Abubakar risks human and material loss, emphasizing integrity, accountability, and long-term benefits for the state’s electorate.
