ATBUTH CMD, Prof. Bara, Bags Two Prestigious National Awards At Presidential Villa

The Chief Medical Director of the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital (ATBUTH) Bauchi, Professor Yusuf Bara Jibrin, has been honoured with two prestigious national awards at the Nigeria GovTech Public Service Awards 2025, held at the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa, Aso Rock, Abuja.
According to a press statement issued by Usman Abdullahi Koli, Head of Public Relations and Protocol Unit, ATBUTH Bauchi, the teaching hospital emerged as the Best Federal Health Institution in Innovative Use of Technology, in recognition of its remarkable achievements in digital transformation, healthcare delivery, and institutional modernization.
In addition, Professor Jibrin received the Distinguished GovTech Trailblazer’s Award for his visionary leadership and commitment to advancing digital governance and innovation in Nigeria’s health sector.
The high-profile event, organized by the Bureau of Public Service Reforms (BPSR) under The Presidency, brought together top government officials, policymakers, innovators, and public servants to celebrate excellence and innovation in governance.
In his remarks, Professor Jibrin dedicated the awards to the entire management team, staff, and students of ATBUTH Bauchi, describing them as the driving force behind the hospital’s progress. He reaffirmed his commitment to sustaining excellence in healthcare delivery, medical training, research, and digital innovation in alignment with the Federal Government’s digital transformation agenda.
Among those who accompanied the CMD to the Presidential Villa were members of his family and the Director of Administration, Muhammad Jibrin Gamawa, who joined in celebrating the hospital’s remarkable achievements.
The Nigeria GovTech Public Service Awards celebrate institutions and leaders driving innovation and excellence across the public service, promoting technology-driven transparency, efficiency, and citizen satisfaction.
