“Immortalise Koli Now,” Stakeholders Urge Bauchi Government

Calls for the immortalisation of late Comrade Abdullahi Muhammad Koli have continued to gather momentum, as stakeholders, associates, and residents of Bauchi State highlight his contributions to societal development and community service.

 

The appeal featured prominently during a one-hour special live programme organised in his honour, where participants reflected extensively on his life, ideals, and lasting impact on society. The programme brought together close associates, including his childhood friends, Alhaji Adamu Mai-fada and Malam Haruna Tiffi, as well as his mentee, Comrade Abdullahi Yelwa.

 

Speaking during the broadcast, Comrade Abdullahi Yelwa urged the Bauchi State Government to immortalise the late activist, stressing that such recognition would serve as a source of inspiration for younger generations. He described Koli as a committed advocate for justice, youth empowerment, and grassroots development.

 

In their separate contributions, Alhaji Adamu Mai-fada and Malam Haruna Tiffi reminisced on the early life of the deceased, portraying him as a courageous and principled individual who remained steadfast in the pursuit of truth and fairness. They noted that his legacy continues to resonate strongly among those who knew him.

 

Also contributing via telephone, the Head of Programmes, Albarka Radio, Alhaji Nasir Umar Madaci, commended the initiative, describing the late Koli as a symbol of purposeful leadership whose impact deserves formal recognition.

 

Residents of Bauchi State who participated in the programme through phone calls also expressed admiration for the deceased, describing him as a champion of the common people. Many of the callers supported the call for his immortalisation, suggesting that naming public institutions or community projects after him would be a fitting tribute.

 

Stakeholders at the programme unanimously agreed that immortalising the late Comrade Abdullahi Muhammad Koli would not only honour his memory but also reinforce the ideals of service, integrity, and advocacy he stood for, urging relevant authorities to act in preserving his legacy for future generations.
