FRSC Bauchi Launches Customers’ Week To Enhance Service Delivery, Road Safety

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Bauchi State Command, has commenced its Customers’ Week — a week-long exercise aimed at creating public awareness and improving the quality of its services.

Speaking during a press conference at the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Secretariat in Bauchi, the Sector Commander, D.B. Apaja, explained that the event will feature engagements with clients to obtain feedback on the Corps’ products and services.

According to him, the FRSC’s key services include the issuance of national vehicle number plates, driver’s licenses, medical services, road signs, and rescue operations, all of which contribute significantly to government revenue, especially through plate number sales, driver’s license issuance, and signages.

Apaja noted that the Customers’ Week was designed to assess the quality of these services with the aim of improving efficiency and ensuring better service delivery to the public. He added that the command will also hold strategic discussions with relevant stakeholders to enhance road safety across the state, particularly as the ember months approach.

In his remarks, the Chairman of the NUJ Bauchi State Council, Comrade Umar Sa’ida, commended the FRSC for the initiative and urged the command to intensify efforts toward curbing negative behaviors among motorists, such as the use of tinted or covered number plates and the illegal use of press tags.

He further assured that the NUJ would continue to collaborate with the FRSC in sensitizing the public on safe driving practices to reduce road accidents and ensure safety on the highways
