Bauchi Governor Appoints Retired General Marcus Yake as First-Class Monarch

The newly appointed Ngum Zaar, Retired Brigadier General Marcus Kokko Yake, has promised to provide good leadership and promote unity among the people of his domain.
He made the pledge shortly after receiving his appointment letter as a First-Class Traditional Ruler from the Bauchi State Government.
Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed confirmed the appointment of Brigadier General Marcus Kokko Yake (Rtd.) as the new Ngum Zaar, presenting him with a First-Class Emir status in Tafawa Balewa Local Government Area. The confirmation was conveyed through the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Aminu Hammayo.
While presenting the appointment letter on behalf of the Governor, the SSG, Alhaji Aminu Hammayo, charged the new monarch to uphold the laws of the state and the nation, and to remain obedient to directives issued by the government from time to time.
He also congratulated the new Ngum Zaar on his elevation and urged him to justify the confidence reposed in him by fostering peace, understanding, and development within the Zaar Chiefdom.
In his remarks, Brigadier General Marcus Kokko Yake (Rtd.) expressed deep appreciation to Governor Bala Mohammed for the honor and trust bestowed upon him, assuring that he would discharge his duties with fairness, dedication, and respect for all.
He further appealed for the cooperation and support of traditional leaders, community members, and other stakeholders in advancing peace and progress across the Chiefdom.
