The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has opened a new fueling station in Potiskum town of Yobe State as part of its drive to expand its network of retail outlets across the country.

The new outlet, converted from the Old Potiskum Service Station to NNPCL-certified fueling station, is part of the company’s wider efforts to stabilize pump prices and make petroleum products more accessible, particularly in underserved areas.

Speaking at the official commissioning ceremony in Potiskum, the Northeast Regional Manager of the NNPCL, Alhaji Rabi’u Maijama’a, reaffirmed the company’s commitment to ensuring a sustainable supply of quality petroleum products to Nigerians.

Maijama’a urged the management of the new NNPC-affiliated station to operate strictly in line with the company’s operational guidelines and assured that there would be continuous monitoring and supervision to guarantee compliance.

The Regional Manager emphasized that the conversion of Potoskum service stations into NNPCL outlets would further strengthen the company’s retail presence while addressing challenges of fuel distribution in remote communities.

In his remarks, the retailer of the new NNPCL fueling station, Alhaji Ahmed Sa’idu, pledged to abide by the company’s standards and operational procedures, assuring customers of efficient service delivery and adherence to safety rules.

The event also featured presentations on safety measures, traffic control, and crime management by representatives of relevant security agencies.

Community leaders and customers present at the occasion delivered goodwill messages, commending the NNPCL for bringing more retail stations to Potiskum
